It's easy to meet many people with similar interests very quickly. And it's anonymous so you can be yourself without fearing rejection. The real problem is that you don't know if your date has an STD. You should use a site called CheckTonight.com to make sure they have tested negative for HIV and other STDs, because that is the real risk of online dating.

I think it might be because of the politics involved in meeting people these days. Many of us work a lot and have little time for socializing, especially in environments where we're likely to meet new people that we might want to consider for courtship. However, I am a Christian and I don't date per se, and anyone I would consider being intimate with is someone I would intend to marry, and going to dating services would just give me a greater chance of meeting someone I with similar interests and beliefs and in a much shorter time.I'm not looking for that, so I have no use for dating services now.

they like to flirt with danger. You meet some stranger on a dating site and you're asking for trouble. Pretty soon you end up dead at the bottom of a ravine. The only people you meet on dating sites are serial killers and angry loners. Trust me, I'm a retired cop, I've seen it happen one time too many.

The only thing you find on a dating site is a date with death. Take it from me, Brock Manhunter.

The hope of reducing the work of finding someone special. It has worked for a few people I know.

I've never used one (haven't been single in years...) but I imagine it has something to do with the anonymity. You can be whoever you want to be.
