Public defenders are generally exempt from malpractice lawsuits brought by assigned clients. You can petition the court for a retrial based on the bad acts of counsel.

Nope, unless you can prove he maliciously tried to get you convicted he's exempt. Perhaps next time you'll hire your own defense.

If you can prove that he did it on purpose you can, but if not, I don't think so. Call another attorney and ask him / her.
