I've seen them and they seem to have a lot of room in them without the agitator, but how well do they clean?

they are GREAT!

saves water, time, money, detergent, cleans very large items, clothes dry in half the time.

i'd suggest a Whirlpool Duet.

MAYTAGS have a bad repair history and a few recalls.

you do not have to use a high efficiency detergent. they are very expensive. you can use a regular detergent, you just use 1/2 your normal amount.

get the pedestal too, unless you like having to bend over.

make sure you put it where you want it to stay. they are incredibly heavy and can not be moved without a lot of help.

you'll love it!

I have a brand new Maytag. I had to have several service calls on it. They had to change out the sensor. My problem is that when it spins the clothes they end up in the middle of the washing machine
and then the machine stops. I have to re position the clothes around the out edge of the drum and start over again. I hate it

Just got a front load in the new year and am very happy with it. It's much better for the clothes- less wear & tear. Also use much less water, electricity & detergent. Only problem is levelling it if it's on main floor or carpet.
