ummm wasent realy a big deal for me i put the tissue in the toilet and forgot to flush lol so my mom seen it she was freaking out and saying she was so proud of me and i just kinda wanted to die cause i didnt care that much haha

I knew about periods but didn't have any warning that I was getting ready to start. So yes it was a surprise.

I was 11, and no one had told me about periods...yeah I know. I can't believe I had seen all those pad commercials and not known what they meant. I assumed some old women just let their bladder go and they couldn't help it. Anyway, was I suprised? Oh yeah! I remember flipping out because my aunt's grandmother was in the hospital for peeing blood and I thought I was going to die. Then I learned I have this monthly moody period makes me crave chocolate.

i already knew about periods but i was surprised when i got it. It came during skool. Luckily i had a pad.

It like totally surprised me...I spent the night at a friend's house and I got it when I was there with no pads or tampons!!!!!

Yes, sometimes my period would surprise me when it would start, especiallywhen I had my very first period.
