Which 307 engine is in the buick. During those years GM put in most any engine, your buick could have the oldsmoblie engine or it could have a chevy, etc. Most GM engines will interchange into different bodys, you may have to relocate wiring and exhaust systems are different. It will take some work but could be done.

That'll be a large negatory Ghostrider. The 307 in yours (and all) '80 3 Rivieras has the BOP (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) bellhousing bolt progression. The SBC obviously has a Chevy bellhousing bolt progression. you could nicely be in a position to do it with an adapter, yet i'm no longer conscious of at least one obtainable. it will be a lot less complicated, more affordable and faster to easily improve it to a Buick 350. Any conversion parts you could favor will be obtainable interior the junkyard. in simple terms bolt it in and pass.

It will fit. You will have to change the motor mounts, transmission mounts and probably the drive shaft.
