I say, you wear them, you clean them out, and if you DON'T---it's your fault if something valuable gets ruined!
Do you agree? Or do you think the laundry-doer should check all the pockets?
My hubby thinks whoever does the wash is supposed to check....

The wearer!!!!! If I'm doing the laundry, I'm not responsible for what's in the pockets. Of course, if I find money...lol, IT'S MINE!

Whoever wore the garment should check...their garment, their "junk" in the pocket...however, do realize that some stuff they leave in the pocket can ruin other clothes/laundry washed with them (ink pens that break, chewing gum, etc).

If you don't care to empty the pockets, then I'd wash his clothes separately in case there's something in a pocket that could ruin the entire load of laundry.

He should be glad you do the laundry, and he doesn't have to worry about it...if he's too lazy to empty his own pockets then it's his problem if something gets lost or ruined. It takes so little effort (esp when they are still on one's body) that if he can't be bothered to check 'em, then apparently whatever is in the pockets isn't all that important to him (or he'd remove it before tossing them in the laundry or putting them away).

My husband doesnt empty his pockets either, at first it was really irritating, then I found my first $20. After that I happily check pockets, any money I find I keep, I call it my payment for doing the chore. I have a whole jar of rainy day fundage just from the laundry, and you better believe Im not spending it on him!

Just think if u forgot to take your 500 $ (if you dont have one its okay) ring in your pocket and it broke it the wash!
If he doesnt empty his pockets, it doesnt really matter!

I say do your own laundry and you'll never have these problems!

If you must share, since pockets are a very personal space it's definitely up to the wearer to clean them.

If you are the granting the luxury of washing, without a doubt your husband should check his pockets.

I think the wearer is responsible, otherwise if you're doing the laundry and you happen to check - finders keepers!

If he leaves them somewhere to be washed, like if you guys have a specific location for dirty clothes, he needs to empty them. Maybe he just needs to do his own laundry.
