My roomate, Otis, is as jealous as they come. I have a job, a car and I go to school and he just sits around all day watching TV. His life s u c k s and he seems to blame me for it. I think he just wants what I have but he's too lazy to work for it. I know he steals my cigaretes and he takes money out of my wallet. I'm not stupid but I pretend I don't know because he's worthless and I hate him. Does he do this because he's jealous of me? Why is he such a parasite? Should I tar and feather him and put him on the next horse out of town?

How does Otis support himself? Just curious. I'd say it was time to tell Otis to hit the road and find a roomate you don't hate and can trust.

You are actually part of the problem as well. Like a parent whom doesn't want to upset the child when needed. You pretend it isn't happening. So in return he will continue the stealing till you bring to his attention. If I was you, and finally told him.... I would let him know just how long you knew it was going on..

I don't think you hate your roommate. Or you would have already kicked his *** out.

He prob. does somewhat hate you for what you have although. Sounds to me and this is coming from a 5 year just this year drug free ex addict. He has an addiction of some sort. Not saying drugs, could be... just something... it could be with himself... wondering why he isn't good like you, or why he doesn't have the WILL power you do. I know will power is something that we as humans are not all equal!

Either open the issue up, help your friend. Or kick his *** out! But either way let him know you know and how long you've known. Nothing is better than the truth hurting you!! Good life lesson!

Hope this helps some

I would tell him to pack his bags and get his lazy *** down the road.Trust me you work to hard to have him stealing your money or cigarettes.Myself he would have been gone a long time ago if he did that to me.

Good luck.

Maybe he just needs friends. Take him to the bar or something or bring him to a party. Be his friend or something.
