Switch hold on, then off. Hold the select button (the circle) and the menu buttons at the same time until an Apple logo comes up. Then hold the menu button until it turns back on.

Hold the center "circle" button and "Menu" at the same time. Hold for a couple of seconds and you should be in the clear. I hope this works for you.

omg[o my god] i no how to do tht is happened to my brother u have to hold down the play\pause button or then just press any button and if tht doesnt work then srry tht is how i fixed my brothers! good luck

take out the batteries and then re put in the batteries.
and then see if it needs a re start.

don't plug it in to a power source; wait for the battery to die. Then plug it back in...it should work.
