I have emotional breakdowns when I see things that deal with childhood, parenting, family, and things of that nature. My dad did leave when I was 9 and my mom and I do have a good relationship. I'm 22 now and I have a good life, I am not depressed. I just have these feelings of guilt, regret, slight hopelessness, and total sadness when I come across these subjects. What is this? I am easily bothered and normally melt down once I can get by myself for a few minutes.
What is this? What can I do about it? I don't understand it.

Youa re probably depressed or bi-polar. You have the option... go get overmedicated like a lot of Americans or just do a smaert thing and hang around happy and intelligent people. Change who you hang around. Bums hang around bums, bankers around bankers. Poor with poor and rich with rich. Secular with secular and Christians with Christians.

You should realize you have a problem and act the opposite. Act how you wanna be and someday you will be how you act. Accept your decisions and bare th consequences. Once you are grown up, your decisions are who you are and how others perceive you. Life is not great all the time... let out a good cry. But definately, find some good people to hang with and get out... I am not religious AT ALL... but try going to Church or meeting p with happy ethical folks. If you dont believe what they believe, cool.... just act and it will do wonders.

Change your diets and habits too...recreate yourself and convince yourself you wll have no pity parties.

You need to stop holding in all your feelings about your childhood. Talk to your friends or family about what is brothering you. Know that it's the past, there is no use in feeling regretful or hopeless, focus on what's going on in your life today.
