I am really confused about all of this i was brought up in a methodist baptist chruch but was thinking about going to a methodist or baptist. are the beliefs different??

I was raised Methodist and received love and support from my family when I came out at about 20 years old. My partner was Welsh and her family was one of a hived off, much splintered group of something or other. They told me that Methodism was not Christian and that I would burn. Where have I heard that recently ?
I can only say that our Sundays were taken in he open if possible, away from stares and whispers.
I can only say "Be True To Yourself".

If this question has anything to do with LGBT and you are asking if they are accepting of gays then Methodist is the way to go. I go to my Methodist youth group, though I'm not all that religious, I still go because it's fun and being gay I'm accepted. I took a boy to the church dance and didn't get any crap. Methodist don't even talk about hell or sin. Not at my church at least. We are the kinda church you want to go to when you want to learn about the "love" of God. As for the term "baptist" I've never heard anyone call us either of those.

I think the difference is between Methodist and Baptist period - no matter what order you put them in.
