using the abbreviations is cool, but the whole random capital letters thing just seems wierd. it is interesting to look at from afar, but when you actually try reading it, it almost hurts your eyes and it is difficult to tell where the words begin and end. Personally, if your going to use this for instant messaging(like AIM) then I would lose the caps. It will be faster and that's what instant messaging is all about right. I would go with a cool background to font color combo like black/red, black/blue, blue/white, etc. Don't do anything that when you look at it you have to try and focus your eyes like avoid white/yellow, pink/yellow, etc. You could even get a cool font, just make sure it's legible(can be easily read) for example bazooka is one of my favorites. I believe the letters are in all caps. Also, I would stay away from the confusing words like using ttly(totaly) because it is to similar to ttyl(talk to you later), other than that the intenionally misspelled words are fine, just don't over-do it, again they are faster but if you use to many it takes even longer than none at all. Everything in moderation. By the way I'm 14 and in high school.

I can see where your friend would say that cool people type like this and that spelling words correctly is for geeks. (hows that ?)
On the other hand hopefully it is for fun between friends only because in the( real world) it will not be accepted.
Once you graduate from school when you grow up, no employer will allow this, ever........So try not to make this a big habit, simply because it will be hard to break...
In school and in the real world you will know how to speak and spell correctly. unless your world only consists of geeks!
Its kinda cute for young teens, but that is all....for now only

Don't become one of the herd grazing in the fields - don't conform to something so silly just to try and fit in. Being your own person - being a leader and not a follower - is much cooler than just doing what everyone else does. If it makes you feel dumb, it's probably dumb.

girl first of all..theres no such thing as cool..once you hit high school you'll notice about 20 different groups of people and all of them think theyre cool..okay...no thats not cool..it makes you look like youre ignorant and cant talk normal! it looks dumb! type how you want..talk how you want..act how you want!!! dont do it because someone else wants you to! because that makes you a follower and shows you cant make decisions on your own..which..is..not cool! okay! so show some independence and do what you want! okay...and what you really want too!
