James, what genres do you like? You can choose from thousands of books from barnesandnoble.com, or are you planning on visiting their store? If you like fantasy, Stephen Donaldson is a great writer, as is L.E Modesitt. If you're into more mainstream, Grisham's always great. Mystery: Mary Higgins Clark is a very lively read. Iris Johannsen is always good as well. Now, if you're into romance (more guys are than care to admit), write me off-list and I can help you there, as I'm a romance writer myself.

Some of my favorite books.... The Long Walk by Slavomir Rawicz. Really really GOOD. Anything by Dick Francis - light mystery crime dramas. The DaVinci Code. Angels and Demons. Both of these are by Dan Brown. The book (DaVinci Code) is much better than the movie. Reading Lolita in Tehran. Balzac and the Chinese Seamstress. Two really good non-fiction books: It's Not About the Bike by Lance Armstrong and Time on Fire by Evan Handler. (These are 2 GREAT books - both about the trials and tribulations of surveying a life threatening illness)! I also really like books by Jonathon Kellerman (mystery crime thrillers). The new book by John Grisham, "An Innocent Man" is also good. Seabiscuit. Cry, The Beloved Country. The Kite Runner. Tuesday's With Morrie. Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston. You can get these books at almost any bookstore... I like Amazon.com... and I love Barnes & Noble too. Have a good read!!!

Sure, my book "The Shadow Within" is available from Barnes and Noble. In my biased opinion it's a great book LOL It is a young adult urban fantasy. It is available on their website and you can also request it through their stores.
Unfortunately there is no book description on the website. This is something I'm hoping to rectify soon. For a book description you can check out my website. I'm including the site along with the direct link to the barnes and noble listing.

There aren't any. Great books are supervised constantly by paid
staff. Casual passer-by know they exist but rarely see one except in locked shatterproof display cases. Researchers and scholars must present identification before even being allowed to discuss why they should be given access. Barnes & Noble have
reading suitable for academician but pay expenses by selling the
merely pedestrian something interesting if not exactly great..
