i was looking at magicmans answers and he has like over..1900 in one week. magicman if you read this..its not a knock on you im just really curious..do you leave the house?? by the way..if you answer i will vote you best answer ; )

Actually, yeah I do leave the house, in fact I'm employed full time as a professor and believe it or not, use this as part of my class from time to time (rarely). I answer as many questions as I can and I guess give good enough answers that people thumbs up me some and select my answers as best often enough to get the points.
Mostly though I just enjoy helping people with fish problems.

Well, I have 883 points so far this week - I'm hoping to break 1,000. You just answer a lot of questions (2 points each), give good answers (so they get voted "Best Answer" and get 10 points each and gets lots of "Thumbs Up" ratings (1 point apiece for each "Best Answer"), be a Level 5 (so you get more answers, votes, ratings, comments, etc.). All there is to it! He definately seems to know his stuff - I think I remember seeing he judges betta or fish shows, which adds to the credibility. Maybe he just judges on weekends, is retired, and likes sharing his expertise with others. (Or, maybe he's just an "Answers" addict like me!)
What I'd like to know is how he answers so many and keeps a 37% best answer!

Usually I have so many answers out there that I get almost a hundred points just when I sign on for best answers. I only do fish and the occasional other pets because that's what I know best. I'm catching up to you Magic.

By answering stupid questions like yours. No, but really, he is very knowledgeable about aquariums. All it takes is a few best answers and a couple of good word documents. Most questions about aquariums are from beginners and the answers can be copied and pasted from a word document. Very fast and easy.
