"A Patch of Blue" and "Guess Who's coming to Dinner" (I just heard today that Mr. Poitier is 80 years old!) I also liked the movie: "Lillies of the Field"

"To Sir..." is his masterpiece, and Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones may have played behind Lulu on the song, btw...let me double check. EDIT: Ok, no, they did not, I apologize. And Astute Credit is to be given to a fellow-user and contact of mine for the tireless research on this.^^^ Mr. Poitier was just right in "Sneakers," with Redford and Aykroyd and several other huge names, including James Earl Jones, Mary McDonnell and David Strathairn.
