It was usual for only one pyramid to be built by a Pharaoh for his burial.
The exception being Snefru, who is the owner of The Meidium Pyramid near the Fayyum Oasis. Also the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid at Dashur.
The name Dashur means "city of the two pyramids".
The first two built did not reach his architectural expectations.
The Mediam Pyramid, is truncated and appears to look more like a ziggernaut from a distance.
This underlying shape has been particularly noticeable since the loss of its outer casing stone.
Most of the 200 plus pyramids in Egypt, were built between the 3rd Dynasty of The Old Kingdom and the 13th Dynasty of The Second Intermediate Period.
The pyramids built after the 5th Dynasty were much smaller and far less imposing than the Great Three, being The Pyramid of Khufu (the Great Pyramid),The Pyramid of Khefron and The Pyramid of Myceneus.
The last to be built were quite small and left unfinished. There is no evidence that they were ever used as burial places.
Their chronological order is uncertain mostly due to the the Hykcos turmoil that was engulfing Egypt at the time.
By this era they had become hardly more than Pyramidons, with a surrounding temple complex.
After the turbulant times that continued up till the 17th Dynasty we know little about the Pharoahs or thier tombs, to this point in time.
The I8th Dynasty brought about the use of The Valley of The Kings, and the reintroduction of tomb burial.
This is how the first Pharoahs were buried at Abydoss.

Depends on what you mean by "Egyptian pyramid" The first obvious answer to one meaning, is the Egyptians. As to who built them various Pharaohs with the help of paid workers engineers and architects. NO SLAVES and such. The other meaning pertains to the shape of the pyramid. Egyptian pyramid versus Aztec pyramid. In this sense The majority in absolute numbers were built by Sudanese Kings way back then in imitation of the Egyptians. They die not build impressive ones but they did produce them in large numbers.

Khufu - for the Big one
Khaf Ra - the middle
Mankau Ra - the small
This for the famous Pyramids, but there are many other pyramids in Egypt not all of them has a record to tell who build it. Also you may search for the development of the Pyramid idea along more than 2000 years before the most known Pyramids.

each one was built for the Phareo of its day hnce the name that are given to each one. they were built not by slave labour as most people think but for love of the Pharoe,
