How I do go about living legally in the States? Anyone have some links for me? It would be much appreciated.

Okay, first, you can stay in the U.S. up to 180 days out of 365 days legally, but you cannot hold a job, or go to school while in the U.S. as a visitor.

Secondly, if you and your boyfriend are in a serious relationship and considering marriage, the U.S. has what is called a fiance visa that you can apply for. A work visa would have to be applied for separately.

There are other classes of immigration, but fiance visa would be the quickest and easiest, unless you can find a job with an employer who will sponsor you, that might go more quickly, depends on too many factors to guess.

Here is the U.S. Immigration website. Unfortunately, it is not nearly as well written and understandable as the Canadian Site.

Sorry apparently we're currently closed for repairs. The melting pot is running over.
