havent really gotten too big. I noticed what seemed to be bloating early in the pregnancy but im pretty much at a standstill now.... im 5'3 and on average 135lbs. when would you say i should start to show?
another thing...
i went on vaca last week and did ALOT of walking around some parks, in town shopping... i reached over and got this sharp pain in my lower right pt. of my stomach just for a sec. though... then i laid down and relaxed and it seemed fine...
my friend told me a few weeks ago before she misscarried she was reaching to put something away and felt a pain((sounded similar to mine)) and then misscarried? can i misscarry because of a strech? dont people to yoga and stuff, strech and excerise?
just curious!

I didn't start showing till about 6 1/2 months. Now I am all belly and I love it! You will be having some sharp pains while your uterus is stretching and possibly some ligiment pains too. I had a sharp pain every once in a while but nothing that worried me. Please don't let people get you paranoid about miscarriages just because they had one. I hate it when people do that.
You will be ok. Just remember, if you ever have a problem to ask the doctor.

A stretch cannot cause a miscarriage. Your friend's miscarriage was a sad coincidence. The pain you felt was normal from the baby growing and implanting in your uterus.
You will probably start to show closer to 4-5 months along.

Hang in there, try not to worry too much and CONGRATS!

i don't think that would cause you to miscarry. if you're really worried though talk to your doctor. i had a miscarriage once and my doctor told me that i didn't do anything wrong. when i got pregnant again i was working and pretty active at work. i also walked alot for exercise and everything went okay. i didn't really start showing until about 4 months. i'm 5'4" and about 115-120. you probably have a little while before it's noticeable.

I got those pains early on. The doc said it was my ligaments stretching and would go away later in the pregnancy. I'm now 39 weeks and everything's fine. You're probably okay, but if you're worried, call your doctor.

Everyone shows at a different stage.
Your belly muscles are being stretched, a reach could have pulled on an already taxed muscle causing pain. Listen to your body, if you feel like something is wrong, contact your doctor, but otherwise don't worry.

i know alot of people say this but you will show when the time is right for you. i started to show around 5 months with my first. I don't think you can miscarry from a stretch. Most people who miscarry do for a viable reason. If you and the baby are healthy you should be fine.

Most people don't show for quite awhile with their first child, but it does vary from person to person. with my first i suddenly "popped" at six months. Same thing happened with some of my friends. You shouldn't worry too much about the pain as long as you are not spotting. your stomach and uterus are growing and stretching and you will feel a lot of pains because of that.

your ligaments in your uterus could be stretching to make room for baby. That happened to me and it scared me to death, i called the hospital! If you have no bleeding and the pain goes away you should be fine. Buy this book.. What to Expect when your Expecting

I did not look at all pregnant until about 20 weeks, and I delivered a 9lb baby.
