What kind of hysterectomy did you have? Abdominal? If you had this kind your muscles were cut and therefore the belly bulges a bit. Of course if you eat things that cause weight gain this makes your abdomen grow. Any doctor will tell you that hysterectomy does not cause weight gain, its you who is causing it. Try not eating starchesand sugars and start exercising, this might stop your abdomen to grow but it will never be flat again (if it ever was).
