Since the interview is over, it really doesn't matter what
you should have said, but in the future, do some homework
and find out all you can about the company or place you're
interviewing. Then think of all your talents related to that
field. Are you a good organizer (cite examples), do you
interact with people well, etc. and pair these up with
job requirements. Being prepared is one quality anybody
would be looking for in an employee and they would
expect you to be prepared for the interview. Try again
with another company.

First and foremost, it's fine to pause for a moment and think about your answer before you just spit something out (which you will likely regret later ...).

What you should do is reiterate a few of your most positive points, which you have hopefully explained earlier. Don't go on forever and don't brag. Just remember that your interviewer must have thought that you would be a good asset to the company, just from reviewing your resume.

When you go to work for others, they have to make money off of you to pay your salary and make some profit for themselves, right? You can be a good asset to them only when you can meet or exceed the quality and expection for the job you are hired for. That means you should sell yourself tactfully. You need to briefly and succinctly lay out your strengths, qualifications and what you can bring to this company. Be careful not to answer this question too generically, however. Nearly everyone says they are hardworking and motivated. Set yourself apart by telling the interviewer about your qualities and achievement that are unique to you and their business can benefit from it.
