I'll stick with pondering the nonsensical, for now. Things making sense for a change does sound like fun, but I've only just gotten used to seeing the world through crazy coloured glasses...

No and no.
Our egotistical sides want things to make sense. That gives us a greater sense of control. That's one of the fundamental mistakes that humans make. We keep trying to get our lives under more control, but we never can because it is total fact that we don't know what will happen next. We strive for something we can never have.
Pondering doesn't really help anything either. Things don't make sense, big deal. Just live life.

Perhaps if they were intrinsically nice 'things' yes. If you're still pondering how do you know that (whatever) doesn't make sense? If you're finished pondering and still don't know how do you know you pondered enough?
