go to www.grisoft.com download AVG antivirus free trial version, install it, scan ur computer, after detecting the trojan, delete it and rescan ur computer to make sure tat it's clean

Depending on how far that virus has spread, and if it's affected your system files, it sadly, may be true. You can always download a virus/trojan scanner, and run it. Normally they're successful at picking up, and safely removing 99% of the virus/trojans on your system. Check out www.tucows.com or search for a Trojan/Virus Scanner. Hopefully it can be resolved without wiping your entire system. After it's cleaned, look into downloading a good virus scanner, there's many free ones available. Check out Comodo.com. I just started using it, and I'm pretty fond of it. They also offer a nice free Firewall. Security of your computer system, is vital in the protection of your files/information. Especially since a trojan, opens up a backdoor for others to view the information on your computer.

never wipe you system for a Trojan back door virus issue. That would remove all the windows updates and make your system more vulnerable.

(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .

Easy to rid of any program that just pops in. Just go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System and SystemRestore. Then on that calendar pick a date earlier than when the thing showed up. Use SystemRestore and then Reboot, It will be gone.

The above is true for Trogans, but for AdWare, system restore does nothing.

A full computer restore would remove it but there may be options that are less destructive. Visit http://www.symantec.com and search for a removal tool for the specific virus your computer is infected with. When you find the correct one, download and run the removal tool and it should take care of the virus.

Go to http://www.mbusbyuk.info/links.html and scroll down the page to free onlone scanners. Click on the link for Panda ActiveScan. When you get to their page, make sure you scan the whole of your computer. This will clean and disinfect anything it finds on your comp.
Good Luck!
