My mom is going to try to put them on my jacket, but she doesn't know if you sew it to the leather, or if you glue or something. Thanks

There are special places that do that. It's somewhat expensive but it's the only way to go. A regular needle and theard won't work. These places have special machines made to sew through leather. Talk to your school about where to go. Since they provide the jackets they should know where to get your patches done.

My kids were sewn on at the store where we got the jacket, each one that was earned cost just a small amount for them to sew them on,it was less than $5.00 each patch.

I would sew it . There are special needles for leather that work on regular sewing machines, most fabric stores will have them.
If you don't find them a heavy duty needle like for denim will do the job.
good luck!

On my brothers letterman jacket they are iron on patches. So you might want to ask your mom if they are iron on patches.

Take it to a cleaners that has a tailor and let them do it. It will look like they were all done at the same time. That's how my mom did mine in high school and how I did my daughters when she got hers.
