I empathize with you in the complaint. However, I'm not really tired of the question, so much as I'm tired of the answers. I'm still waiting for a really good answer.

Many persons get vexed with what is understood in the
small circle of personal life. When the vexation goes
beyond the limit of tolerance, they post the question
without bothering about what is there in the books or
in the 'discover' section of Yahoo. It is not true that
many people don't know what the meaning of life is.
Some may casually, but no seriously, think about it at
one time or another. Many millions are happy without
thinking about it. It is not a question of normal life
- is is a philosophicl question. Only those who develop
a philosophical bent of mind think about this question
time and again. Some still wait for a really good
answer and look for it in this Yahoo forum again and
again.

What Mr. I did not observe is that all such questions
are not worded exactly the same - there is some
variation, ther is some personal way. When others give
answers to a question posted by a person, he feel that
one of the answers is mentally tuned to his search and
he accepts it as the best answer. Moreover, this very
Yahoo forum is intended for such personally tuned
answers, and not for the stuff quoted from books or
from other internet sites.

I'm not sick of it as much as I am saddened by it. The question is a reflection of the idea that many people don't know what the meaning of life is. What are they here for? Why do they exist? It would really be sad if, in their not knowing, they stopped asking the question, stopped seeking the Truth. I think many have. That saddens me all the more.

Take care.

Of course I notice it and take the time to answer it to someone who ask a question because they want to know an answer. If people didn't answer their question, it would be like people ignoring you and telling you, what's the point in asking the question your asking now when you KNOW there is at least one person tired of the question while another is not.

It is amazing how frequently this question appears--I bet that every human being who has ever lived has wondered about "the meaning of it all" at one time or another.

But I don't believe that anyone ever resolves this issue for themselves by just thinking and dwelling on it over and over again. The best way to find "the meaning of life" is to stop thinking about it and to just go out and live it.

Yes, I posted an idea to block the exact same question being posted for like a month to prevent that crap.

Yes, I've noticed it and it's going to be asked over and over again by people who do not know what their meaning of life is.

yeah but i just post the stuff that 'touches you on the inside' that i think up as i go. here's a hard one though: what's the meaning of LIMBO, you know like the place betwixt life and death?

2007-02-23 13:15:03 · answer #8 · answered by zmanzono 2 · 0 0

Yes.
Or how about "how many licks DOES it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?"
or even "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck...".

And then there's everyone's favorite..."Could I be Pregnant?"
And it's best friend "Does he like me?"

Come ON people---ask something REAL!!
