Hate is stronger. It has to be. Hate is stronger because it is controlled by a stronger passion. I believe that you can measure how 'strong' an emotion is by figuring out the effect it can have on others, ie the result of the love or of the hate. Love would be called a meeker brother to hate because its actions are not manifested as strongly as is Hate's. A man who loves all would be able to help an elderly lady across the street, or return a lost wallet, but not to sabotage another's house, or to punch a man in the face. Therefore, love doesn't have anywhere near as 'powerful' an impact as an act of Hatred can have. Hatred's actions can be far stronger.
Then again, perhaps there are other ways to judge the strength of emotions. People who love one another have been known to offer up their life for that person. This is, in my mind, far stronger a bond than hate..

That's all I can fit on here, please go here:

You treat love and hate as though they were opposites. They are not.

The opposite of love is fear. Hate is just a euphemism that we use for fear because we don't like to admit that we are afraid.

Think about it.

1. "meeker brother' is a poor choice of terms
2. The examples given "helping an elderly lady/returning the lost wallet" are poor examples of love, they are examples of civic duty - something we do to help others, others we do not love.
3. The choices of hate "sabotaging another's house/punching someone in the face" can be examples of revenge and self-defense - possibly from a wounded ego, rather than of hate.

Ever heard of the movie "Fatal Attraction". that is strong love. Love can lead to obsessive behavior which can be very dangerous, but still termed "love" Also, in the Bible, there are like 8 meanings of the word love, so I think we'd have to consider all 8 or go to the online thesaurus and look up love. Have you ever had someone of the opposite sex "love" you and drive you nuts ? I think most of us have, especially if we don't have feelings the same for them. Just some thought to ponder.

But, there is one flaw to hate and one "bonus" to love. Lets say there are two people, one who is completely Love and another Complete hate. The one who loves all will have a stronger will to live because he hates nothing in his life enough to want to end it. The person full of hate, hates everything he wonders why bother to deal with this. And it's not hate that has the greater impact, it's fear. Think about Queen Elizabeth. She tortured people for power. People feared her enough not to betray her yet they loved her. Fear comes from affliction. Hate is only an emotion that can lead to fights. But remember, people fight for their country because they love their country. Fighting doesn't only deal with hate.

I think you should say: the impacts of hate are stronger; not hate per se.
