They are obviously getting rich off this war, Putting are troops in harms way for no end result, and lying to the nation to get rich from rebuilding Iraq and its oil fields (Halburton).I just read a report on Yahoo news about troops saying this war isnt worth the effort and it should end. This was 15 year Veteran Sargeant that said this.

I strongly urge all citizens to write or phone their members of Congress about the deteriorating situation in Iraq. Right now, the tactics of Bush, who has ignored the advice of his generals from day one, has basically broken our armed forces. Soldiers tell horror stories of coming home from Afghanistan only to be told they must deploy in 48 hours for Iraq. There are veteran's organizations working for peace, and also military family organizations working for peace.

Congressmen Jack Murtha and Dennis Kucinich each have come up with plans to end the war;both are worth a look.

Wow...I'm a US Marine and I have to say, there are numbious Marines that want to go back there to Iraq but thats besides the point. The point I want to make is how are you going to start something and not finish it. I mean, if we leave the war right now, you are just going to see a big outbreak in Iraq and the its going to be even a BIGGER mess! Why don't you people understand this. You think the people are going to be able to put everything back together tomorrow by themselves and be able to defend themselves? This is nonsense. When we go there we are just not fighting a war, we are rebuild schools, helping people there. The news don't show this....open your eyes! Any this thing where the some democrats (not all) are saying to end the funding for the war. This is a bunch of crap. You are now hurting my brothers in Iraq. No money means no more gear, protection, necessities needed to even to withdraw... I feel like you type of people are thinking about yourselves more then the troops or America sometimes. Us troops joined the military service for the reason, we knew the risk and most of us joined during a time of war. Let us do our job!

I'll answer as best I can. Let me start by saying I don't understand what you are asking. Who is 'we' and what is the monkey wrench you refer to? By the way, the Vice President's name is spelled C-H-E-N-E-Y, just for future reference. You'll come off a lot better if you spell it the correct way.

Next, I'm wondering how Bush and "Chaney" would be getting rich. Does someone send them a check every month in exchange for the war in Iraq? Perhaps money from "rebuilding Iraq" is being diverted to them, sort of 'under the table'. Pretty amazing that not one single person on the face of this earth has one solitary piece of evidence that would even remotely support such an idea. Wouldn't you think that there are tens of thousands of people who would give everything to come up with proof of charges that you are so flippantly leveling? Are you actually convinced, based on a report you read on Yahoo, that the war in Iraq is "not worth the effort"?

I really don't understand how you can post a question like this with a straight face.

Please help to establish a large, diverse, & representative ethical oversight committee for managing the National Security Agency (NSA)

The National Security Agency (NSA) by necessity currently collects information from ALL organizations without representative ethical oversight. This includes the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard, ALL Political Representatives, FEMA, Greenpeace, the Medical Community, Insurance Companies, Research Groups, domestic or abroad, ...

Unfortunately, special interest groups not representing All Americans currently have access to direct and use Confidential data collection; which affects everyone, not just the US. Imagine large corporations influencing the prosperity of businesses based upon racial criteria; the NSA makes this possible.

The NSA currently does not have a system (people and software) to parse the great amounts of information available to create prioritized situational awareness for the benefit of "representative ethical oversight". Imagine a corporation influencing all that is associated with a University research project, to force access, or force a sale of intellectual property at a significantly lower cost. Now expand the ability of this corporation to influence all businesses, everywhere.

Please support my initiative to establish a large and diverse representative ethical oversight committee for monitoring and managing the NSA.

Just because some stupid army grunts speak their mind on 60 minutes isn't gonna change a thing. And trust me there will be disciplinary actions taken for being so vocal, kinda not allowed to bad mouth the president or policy while serving. But bottom line, no wrench has been thrown anywhere.

What wrench? Bush & Cheney are still moving in the insane direction they have chosen, ignoring Congress, the American people, the U.N. (which should be ignored anyway), and World opinion. They are still getter richer off the war in Iraq, still on the verge of escalating into Iran and there still is no end it sight. It is a disgrace, and we are powerless to stop the insanity.

Nobody should be glad about anything we have done related to Iraq. The politicians drew the public in and the majority went along with it. We should all be ashamed at our past actions and learn from it for the future.

Because they are lying. This was all done under the guise of 'National Security'. Bulls#it. They could very easily have answered all questions without giving away security secrets. They are liars and it seems like they are hiding something because they are.

I guess they can search 300,000 troops and find one or two, but almost all the troops believe in what they are doing, and beleive in the mission. Most ask to go back into war zone.
