Its called the linea nigra and it is due to pregnancy hormones ,and it generally happens in the last trimester around seven months or so....but every pregnancy is different and some women don't ever have the brown line.

It is called the linea nigra. Usually it only runs from the belly button down, but it can run up also. I have heard it can develop as early as 20 weeks, but (based on women I know) it is more common to appear around 30 weeks. Some women, like me, never develop the linea nigra. In my understanding, women with darker skin are more likely to develop it earlier.

Mine showed up at 24 weeks with this pregnancy. I don't remember when with my daughter. The weird thing was I had it for about 6 months after I had her. And it went above my belly button too. I guess I have the super pigment...pale as a ghost. LOL!

the line on your pregnant abdomen is named the linea negra. This line is led to from hormones on your physique. An previous better halves tale includes that this basically happens to the mummy of boys, yet i might for my area could disagree, being as I definitely have 5 daughters and nevertheless had this line each and every time. normally it runs out of your pubic bone to the right of your fundus, externally the place your abdomen stops turning out to be. it must be darker or lighter than others yet is many times continually present day. it is going to vanish once you provide delivery.

It all depends when it comes. If! I am 34 weeks with my second pregnancy and have not gotten it with either one. I think it depends on how big your belly gets and how much you stretch. Same as you belly button popping out. Mine did not either pregnancy. Good luck

fair women do not usually get that brown line. It is normally dark haired women . I know that sounds dumb but thats how it happens. It is caused by the hormones just like some have a great complextion and hair or the opposite

Linea nigra, and it's pretty variable. I never got it, though I did get tons of stretch marks. It depends on skin tone and how you're carrying, mostly.

it is simply a hormone that your body releases, it is normal and usually comes up at the end of your 2nd trimester or the begining from your 3rd. it is completely normal, and the darker you skin the more it shows. it goes away after birth!
