I tried for years to get pregnant but couldn't, and he finally did it!

I work in a Doctor's office and people bring them gifts on occasion and they really do appreciate it. A book on a subject they like or treats for them to share with their staff. If they golf, golf stuff is always appreciated.

"I tried for years to get pregnant but couldn't, and he finally did it!"

I think you might want to re-phrase this a little...;-))

And a token gift to your doc might be okay, but some docs are really sticky about the ethics of accepting a gift from a client. I would suggest a heartfelt thank-you letter to him. (But you might want to have someone else read it first to make sure that your phrasing isn't a wee tad awkward.)

My husband is a doctor and sometimes his patients give him presents. And he really appreciates it, because it is a profession that does go unrewarded except when the paycheck comes in. So go for it.

I would suggest like a pen set that you could get his name engraved on. Or if he doesn't have a name plate for his desk you can get that for him.

Good Luck and congratulations on getting pregnant. God Bless.

Absolutely. They have given you the gift you have been dreaming of. To show some appreciation would make them feel that much more apprecaited. Good luck and congratulations.

Nurses and physicians get thank you gifts all the time, it is appropriate and appreciated if it is a TOKEN gift. Nothing expensive, a thank you card and a baked good, or flowers... thank you notes tend to mean more than you could ever know, and keep them going when they need it.

Congratulations!

I think that would be very nice of u :)
I'm thinking of sending flowers or something to the maternity ward after I have my baby if everything goes good like the nurses are all nice and stuff :)

I really hope you are speaking of a fertility specialist, when you say "he did it"! But generally speaking, if this is what you are talking about, a card to show how excited you are would be more appropriate. Congrats!

I think that it would be a great idea.. why not give him a picture of the baby when he/she is born and a thank you from the baby kinda like saying somethinglike.. thanks for helping in bringing me into this world..
