thanks for everyone that answered my question about who abolished the draft in the vietnam war, but who was it ? half the people are saying nixon , the other half saying kennedy. who was itttttt : \

seeing as Kennedy was dead when are guys were still be drafted I would have to go with Nixon on this

Nixon, during his time the government was in the process of Veitmasation. The Vietnamese were taking over in the fighting . With the lower need of troops, the draft was abolished.

Nixon abolished the draft in 1973 because of protests
