I really enjoyed the movie and Will and Jayden Smith both deserve awards for their performances. BRAVO!

Absolutly...Will is much deserving of an Oscar but as we all know, Forest Whitaker is going to win this year. He's an incredible character actor who has been over looked for a while and its his turn.
Will Smith is incredible also, but I don't think its his turn yet.
Will still has lots of other opportunities , but I do have to say he is great in dramatic roles and I'd like to see him in more of them.

not me, although the movie was good, homeboy pissed me off. the movie was not as moving as the previews lead me to believe. why did he put his son through that when he didn't have to? i thought he was a determined man, but no parent ...NONE would struggle like that with their child when they have the option to leave them with good care while he gets things together. he was selfish and a horrible parent.
