I was just in the shower and I was washing down there and had some discharge. It was a clear stringy glob. With a little white discharge mixed in. About as much as a nickel maybe more. Then a little more came out. No blood or other color. Could this be the beginning of my MP or just extra discharge? I am 34 weeks along. But my Dr said if I went into labor anytime from 35 and on he would not stop my labor. How much comes out and how often? Will it continue to come out over the next day or two. This is my second pregnancy but with my first I do not remember losing it. I have had a rough pregnancy and have dealt with bad morning sickness lasting the whole first trimester and half of second, gallstones with bad attacks. So I am ready to get this over with. I know I am early now . Just wondering if this could be my MP and how long after usually do you have the baby. Thanks

I lost my mucus plug at 39 weeks and had the baby 3.5 hours later, but I'm weird.

As your cervix starts to dilate (which can happen WEEKS before you give birth) you will lose and rebuild your mucus plug several times. Often you won't even notice that you're shedding parts of it. When it's the real thing, there will be a little blood with it.

Sorry you've had a rough pregnancy. Hope you get an easy baby!!

I have had 5 kids, I lost mine after labor was well on its way, with all 5 of my kids. However, if there is no blood tinge to it, I wouldn't get to excited about it. I think when there is a 'bloody show' that shows that the cervix is openning. Hang in there, it will be over for sure in 6 weeks!!

Hi there,
I've been through 4 pregnancies, and when I lost my MP, It's always been brownish pinkish tinged, never clear. So you may have a little time left still... Just hang in there, the longer those "buns" cook, the better off they are!
Best wishes!
Rebecca

It could mean the beginning of labour or not. If it is streaked with blood yes it is. Some women in later pregnancy get heavy weird discharge. If it continues go see your doctor or just call the hospital and see what they say. Good luck

could be the MP, however, my friend had her MP fall out several times and kept "growing" a new one...

I would go to the OB/GYN and see what they say.

I would go to the hospital you plan to deliver at. Worst scenario, they'll send you home. Good luck!
