Well, though I do agree, the aisleways of church are not a catwalk, but the hallways of God's home, if you want to be able to stand out other places it's really quite simple. Just take pieces and wear them in unconventional ways.

Buy a pair of boots and get stencils and pait them with purple swirlys.

Or if you have long hair, pull it back and a loose, low ponytail, put a poof on the top of your head, and use a string of pearls to wrap the hair, loosely, like a barber pole from the bottom to the top, then tuck it under the hair tie.

Layering clothes also gets alot of different outfits from a few items. Put a brown patterned shirt under a cami that matches the color scheme, and then put a thick brown belt belt with a big buckle right beneath your chest.

Or how about cutting old jeans so they end right above the knee, then if you have access to a sewing machine, add some trendy lace at the very end.

Shop at stores like Kohl's or JCPenney where you can find lots of variety. Don't just follow the trends!

Just be creative! You'll end up being the leader NOT the follower!

Wanting to stand out in a crowd in CHURCH? I would think this is the place where Jesus takes center stage. What a shallow bunch if these girls think it's a fashion show! Go there to pray and maybe you can teach them what it's all about and they'll stop the childish competition. Don 't mean to come down on you; I understand peer pressure. But be a leader, not a follower. If you found the appropriate time to bring up this topic in a discussion type forum.; think of the pressure it would take off of a lot of the girls. I'm sure most would appreciate it.

Easy: Go with urban - country fusion to stand out.

It's something that Asian girls have mastered and the reason why they look so unique in really the same clothes.

1. Hairstyle: Extremely casual, even sloppy if you may.

2. Wear dresses over jeans, dresses over other skirts, tunics over shorts

A good example would be freepeople.com. Their stuff is expensive, but browse through for inspiration.

If you have a good feel for fashion that bohemian look will come natural to you through just looking. You can create similar outfits using apparel in regular stores like forever21, h&m

The last tip: don't be afraid and listen to your own sense of style.

That is hard, especially for fashion girls. What you should do is mix and match clothes. Also, put more accessories on and wear clothes on top of each other in a unique way. If it still does not work out, why dont you overlap and make your own styles with the clothes you wear.

Pay attention to the pastor.... That should make you stand out.

Okay, seriously now.... Try doing something unusual, get a mans cardigan and wear it upside down. Seriously, I've done that. Then button it around your waist. You'll see what i mean if you put it on. It's funky and different.

Wear beads around your neck and one arm. You know, crossways like you wear a purse or something.

Hold your hair up with brightly colored pencils.

Wear your make up like Lucille Ball, doe eyes and bow tie red lips.

Wear your belt with the buckle on your hip, that always causes people to ask questions, but looks funky.

In the end you will look different and unique.

Don't look at clothes the way they are to be meant, tweak the way they are worn.

I have this problem sometimes too! Start off bying each piece of your outfit at a different store, then look at a magazine and think about what you could do to add your own personal style to each outfit a model is wearing and write it down. Then look in your closet for the things closest to what the models in the magazine is wearing and see if it sooks good on you. Then if it does, add that piece that was your own and different. That way when your OWN style is in your outfit, you wnt look like everbodys clone without looking like a dork!

You can either buy all your clothing online...or wear simple but cute clothing...go for jeans or denim miniskirts paired with ballet flats. Wear with a cute top or colorful cami (try Forever 21, Hollister or Wet Seal) and load on the accessories!!!! Accessories will definitely work! Wear long colorful necklaces, cute hair bands, and pair with adorable wristlets! Good luck!! =)

Try shopping online. Or have a parent shop for you. Don't have them pick out the clothes or anything, but give them a list of websites and clothing style numbers and have them get it for you. Do you have access to a sewing machine? You could always alter the clothes you do have to make them your own and unique. Good luck!
