Yes, the big city was Detroit.
it had a good side, now mostly bad now.
You can live there in the city itself But I strongly recommend the Suburbs of the city itself (Royal Oak, Mt, Clemens, Clinton Twp, Roseville) they have a lot more to offer.
The small towns are more peacful and safer. check out this site.

i've lived in san antonio TX for the last 8 years. it's the 7th largest city in the country. it has tons of stuff to do whether you have a family/kids, or to go out with a date. TONS of stuff to do. only grief i have here is that its so damn HOT!!
