Could someone give me a definition of a database, a paragraph of the three uses, and a bibliography including the URLs for the 3 web sites.

a simple data base would be a name, address and other information. It is stored in a database
have been used for 37 pluse years,
old school. CICS, DB2,IMS
new school these are called relational, SQL 2000,05 MySQL, Oracle
