I itched all over while I was pregnant, some women's hormone changes wreak havoc with their skin.
This will sound bizarre, but it might help. Do a mayonnaise mask on your hair. Basically, comb regular full-fat mayo pretty thick through your hair, work it down on the scalp, let it sit maybe 15 minutes or so, then shampoo it out. Worst case, it makes your hair really soft and shiny. :) It's not only moisturizing but it will kill lice by smothering them, even chemical resistant ones, and no problem with chemicals being pregnant. That or olive oil treatments were the only things that helped me kill the itch for a while during my pregnancy.

You can check yourself for lice (without finding an elementary school nurse) by combing your hair over a piece of paper (black construction paper works best, if you have it, but white paper will do).
Comb your hair well, from roots to tips, for several minutes, then examine the hair, etc. that's on the paper. Look for anything moving, or anything that's white and sticky and stuck to the ends of the hairs that came out of your head. Moving things are lice bugs. White sticky things are eggs or "nits." If they're there, go to the pharmacy and get some stuff to get rid of them (Rid is the brand that I remember from when I was a kid). Follow the package instructions carefully. You may have to treat yourself more than once, particularly if you have thick or long hair. It may help if you have someone else (someone who can keep a secret!) help you comb through your hair.
That said, dry skin is VERY common during pregnancy. Try drinking more water (if you don't have lice), a LOT more water. If it's winter where you are, get a humidifier for your house or at least for your bedroom. Try not to blow dry your hair unless you have to. Maybe try switching to a more moisturizing shampoo, too.
Good luck! Hope it's not lice!

Either have someone else look through your hair or go ahead and buy a metal nit comb, just to make sure you don't have lice. The little boogers are a pain to get rid of the long they are there!

You could have dry scalp in which case there are tonnes of shampoos on the market for it. It also could be psoriasis (brought on by pregnancy) in which case you would need to see a dermatologist. Good luck and i would try the shampoo first.
