It is different from woman to woman. If your hymen is still intact, you might have some discomfort the first time when it breaks. Hopefully any pain will be minimal, especially if you have a considerate lover who is gentle and slow.

First, the presence or absence of a hymen has nothing whatsoever to do with virginity. Really, it doesn't. How can it if some girls are born without one?

If your partner takes the time, if he truly cares about you enough to take the time, to make certain that you are absolutely as aroused as possible (if you're talking about a teenaged boy, he won't, for that matter, if you're talking about a selfish mane, he won't either), then any discomfort should be minimal.

I'm including a whole piles of links, and not all of them are about virginity. They are, however, absolutely relevant to your question. Read them all, again and again and again. When both you and your partner truly understand them all, you'll have a chance at being ready for partner sex. But being ready is also far more than physical.

it does hurt quite bad. your body is being stretched in ways it hasn't before. don't have sex just to do it. wait till you find a special guy when your older and make sure you are emotionaly prepared. and remember to use protection.
