I live in Cincinnati and I would assume that you are a young adult. I would have to say if money is no object, Chicago is definitely the place to be. If something more affordable is what you're after, Cincinnati offers the same opportunities on a smaller scale. There are a few clubs, but not a lot. We do have an ever growing list of independent theatres and The traveling Broadway series plays in the very nice Aranoff center. There are many reasonably priced houses and apts in nice areas available. As for the people, there are many good looking and ugly people, but most are very nice. Sports? We have professional baseball and football, but only college basketball and minor league hockey. In short Cincinnati offers great restaurants, shows, sports,and people. It's like Chicago on a smaller more intimate and affordable scale Hope that helps

Granted it's going to probably be more expensive, but Chicago is definitely better than Cinci if you want lots of variety on all fronts. Museums, aquariums, restaurants, theatres (REAL theatres, not just movies), television shows, the lake, the pier, the shopping - it doesn't get much better! It's definitely more of a tourist-y place, so there is a more eclectic group of people as well.
