Shaun Alexander. No doubt about it. Heck pick em on the Hawks, talent every where.

That is too vague a question to answer correctly. I'll go by position.
QB- Peyton Manning, most intelligent Quarterback of modern times
Skill Player Offense- LaDanian Tomlinson
Lineman Offense- Jonathon Ogden
Skill Player Defense- Asante Samuel
Lineman Defense- Adalius Thomas

Right now i think the biggest in offense is Peyton Manning or his quiet WR Marvin Harrison. Peyton Manning has been a main reason the Colts won Super bowl XL. Marvin Harrison is a tremendous athlete... the best WR in my opinion. He isnt well known because he doesnt dance around like Chad Johnson or Steve Smith who are both excellent WRs. Although, if you have seen Marvin Harrisons amazing catches and acrobatic catches. Like the one vs. the Patriots in the regular season for the TD. that was amazing. but that is not his only amazing catch. Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison are definitly going to the hall of fame. Peyton is right up there with Steve Young, or Dan Marino. Marvin Harrison is right up there with Jerry Rice, or Lynn Swann. In my opinion, Marvin Harrison or Peyton Manning are the best players right now...

I like Brett Farve but right know I would have to say LT no questions asked hes the best and I wouldn't even try to compare Manning I would chose Brett over Manning anytime even if the Colts did win the Super Bowl I don't think they're that good or at least not that good.

Tom Brady has proven it with his 3 rings in 4 years and with his record including the playoffs which is outstanding. He is just a great QB. He makes recievers picked up from the street look GREAT. Look at Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell. Brady is a great 2 minute drill QB and a great 4th Quarter player. He just wins. HE IS AMAZING!
His fourth ring is coming up.

Right now, i would have to go with Ladanian Tomlinson. Most touchdowns in one year and almost 1900 yards rushing. He was also on a very good team.

u cant have a "best" player because there are so many different positions that are equally important. you can say manning, LT, or champ bailey. umm, if i could have any of those players on my team its peyton, since the quarterback is the "point guard" of the team. every time teh ball is snapped, he touches it.
