it depends where you live call and get info from the city where yo live might have something for adults that is affordable.

To buy private health insurance that covers every doctors visit is not cheap. We have a Blue Cross MSA (medical savings account) type insurance, the premiums are pretty low ($316/month for family of 4), and covers well baby checks and annual exams, but if you get sick and have to go to the doctor it doesn't cover anything until you hit a $5000 individual or $10000 family deductible, then covers 100% (no maternity coverage). We put money into a medical savings account which can be used tax free to pay for expenses.
Blue Cross does have a super cheap insurance that will cover doctors visits, but the limit of coverage is only $2000 so if there's a huge medical expense you'll be left without adequate coverage.
You need to sit down with an agent who can go over all your options with you to see what you need.

It depend on which state you leave in
because insurance comp offer different isurance servises to each state
foe example I remember my sister telling me about an insurance comp in NY that specialized on family insurance
50.00 per family per month
but 2 years ago I was looking for insurance it was impossible
I live in Florida
so I end up with mapfre and it cost about 500 for a family of 5
it is a multiplan
