I will always vote for a Veteran over one who isn't. Regardless of what you think about someone's party, philosophy, or history, you can believe that if they once risked their life for this country, they will be more likely to have the interest of the country at heart.

If it comes down to two vets against each other, then my choice is to get rid of the incumbent.

Doesn't matter. Hillary's gonna win anyway. I'd vote for her twice if I could and was an American citizen - I AM Canadian!! Never mind Bill's 'gall' and amorous stupidity, he's a giant of a man and Mrs. Clinton could 'wing it' on her own, but with him 'in tow' - she's a shoe-in. Comments from the 'peanut gallery' right known as Republicans can say whatever. Geo. W. has tanked completely any chance of a Republican in the White House as of Jan. 20th/09!! I do believe also that the moderate Republicans will vote for Hillary and most likely(assuming) Obama doesn't make the ticket in any way(V-P??), the Republicans wouldn't vote for an African-American anyway(for the most part - at least not for President). They loved Bill(Americans per se) and having TWO presidents in the White House would be a blast. Sure as heck would get some 'real work' done.

Ew. He's bought and paid for by special interests and he thinks women should be property. The guy is scum. The rest of the guys the Rethugs have put forward are scum too, though. Gooniani married his 2nd cousin and has been married a couple other times. Guess the right wing hacks won't be bringing up "family values" this time, will they? LOL they're falling apart.

and to John H. --soldiers/vets are not infallible. Look at our own soldiers that raped a 14 year old Iraqi girl, then burned her alive and killed her family to cover it up. Don't be so simplistic. You have to look at everyone with an open mind and stop stereotyping. Not all vets/soldiers are smart nor moral.

As a liberal, No, I dont like McCain. A few years ago, I was intrigued by his independence and unwillingness to kiss the Christian fundamentalist's butt. However, since then, he has done a 180 and is currently brown nosing like no one else. He disgusts me almost as much as GWB.

I rarely hate.Very rarely hate, I HATE that man.he lies. I don't like liars.he is so much that I despise.he is influenced so much by special interests.he will go with what ever and whoever will get him ahead.he will do and say whatever he can to get to be President., he is a two timing low down human.
Edwards seems to be a fine man.who knows his business, and cares about people, and wants what good for the people.we need someone who is for the people and not big business.were what should be helped.were the ones who pay the taxes so we should get services back for our money not half of it going to the military for example.

He is OK, I would prefer Mitt Romney over him though.

However, McCain may make a good VP.

He's pro-immigrant which may play well in the Southwest but is bad for the country as a whole, in my opinion. So he won't get my vote.

Heck, I don't even like him as a senator anymore, never mind a presidential candidate.

I did up until he turned from principled politician (oxymoron) into a Bush toady during the 2004 election. His latest kowtowing to the far right is pathetic. No, he will not get my vote.
