Annabel Lee also by Edgar Allan Poe
Fire and Ice by Robert Frost
the "I'm Nobody" poem by Emily Dickinson (she had trouble with titles, it seems)

"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost - for the wistful quality and life lessons
"I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud " by William Wordsworth - for teaching me to take 'mind pictures' of beautiful scenes to replay at times of need.
"You Are Old Father William" by Lewis Carroll - for the sheer fun of it
"The Walrus and the Carpenter" by Lewis Carroll - to test my memory for a poem of over 100 lines. I memorized this poem in grade six and can still recite it today - many years later.
"Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" - Robert J. Burdette - a lesson in life's realities and how to deal with them.

My favorite poem is also by my favorite poet. Hi name is William Butler Yeats and it's called The song of Wandering Aengus. It's beautiful and sad and it would make a great addition to your collection. Or anything by him really. He is a wonderful composer of words.

I love Edgar Allen Poe. He is so ingenuous. I also like William Shakespeare. (though his work would be a little long for a poem book) They are both people who inspires me.
Oh, and is your name seeker like in the book 'Seeker'? Because I love that book I just finished reading it for the third time.

Anders Friden of In Flames; his songs could be examine lyrically or poetically, and the album Soundtrack on your get away had a bunch of songs that spoke to me (lifeless on my own, The Quiet place, touch of purple, My candy Shadow, Evil in a Closet, and In seek for I). different than for him, there are community poets that I follow, yet those that i've got had the prospect to fulfill are at present on hiatus from posting and appearing.

"Wilderness: The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison - Volume 1" by Jim Morrison
My favorite all time poetry book.
Maya Angelou's poetry is very good.
Plus my all time favorite author as a kid, that I still read to my own kids is Shel Silverstein.
Good Luck!
