You definitely need to hire a good lawyer that practices Family Law. And yes.. there are some bad lawyers out there... been there, done that.

Get her details, contact her by written correspondence, registered mail, requesting a DNA test be done to confirm that the children as indeed yours. Put down something like, "I note that you have filed a claim with Child Support (if that is what they are called in the US) claiming that I have fathered two of your children. I have not been advised of this at any date or time, nor do I believe this to be correct.

"Accordingly, I ask that you contact me by way of return correspondence to confirm whether you are agreeable to DNA tests being conducted to confirm parentage of the children so that there is no doubt. If the testing does support your claims, then I will accept financial responsibility (you can put down that you also want visitation if it does come back positive and you want to see the kids).

Should you fail to contact me within seven (7) days, I will be forced to make an Application with the Court to obtain an order for the DNA testing to be conducted".

If you do not have a response within the said time, contact a solicitor and make the Application.

Wow never heard of that one before, usually they have to have proof of paternity, either by dna testing, or by admission of being the father by the father.. i find it really hard to believe, because if thats the case, any woman could hand pick a man and accuse him of being the father and the state go after his paycheck.. somethings very fishy, either u are the father and dont want to own up to it, or she's scamming someway .. id take her to court they can supena her to have a dna test done, and any money that the state takes away from u for child support she will have to pay back if the children are indeed not urs..

Need to get a good family lawyer & have a DNA test done to be sure.... if you are not the father, then you can sue for all that back child support she got.

Doesnt matter if she shows up or not. You need to get a paternal test done and contact an attorney to handle this case and sue her for fraud, defamation of character, undue duress etc. But act quickly before the police pick you up for non payment of support. This is serious stuff here and its really hard to prove if youre in jail. Good luck

yup, gone are the days of moving out of state... child support (and arrears) isnt something that will go away.

todays child support laws dont play; you see, the state and federal government are tired of parents not paying for thier kids, so they passed stronger child support laws.

even if that child is 30 and getting married, the child support is still owed. arrears are forever, is my point.

if you question if the children are yours, get an attorney (or call the court in chicago) and ask how to get a court ordered DNA test.

til then, the arrears are just gonna add up....

even if you are not the father ,at least in LA, if the kids were under your responsibility(support then) with in a year than they make you responsible to pay child support period.
hire a lawyer it may be the only way .
