I just found out that I am pregnant, a week over due.
I would like to know if any of you out there know of a good herbal remedy. I know that black and blue Cohosh, Penny Royal, & Slippery Elm Bark are some of the herbs that help with that kind of thing, but how much to take for how long? Any other remedies you know of? I dont want to do anything drastic, just a little nudge to possibly get nature to change it's mind.

I see all of you think I am a horrible person, but to let you know, I have been married for 10 years to a not so great guy that just picked up a drug habit, and raped me in a drug induced state. I have a 5 year old daughter whom I love very much, and I am an excellent mother who at one time wanted nothing more than to have a happy little family. After being beaten and raped by a man I entrusted my whole world to, I'd rather not have another baby with him that he can use against me. I have had several miscarriges before, when I was happy to be pregnant, and they were devistating to me, each of them. I know the alternatives, I know the risks. I just wanted advice, I'm 28 years old, not a teenager.

I'm really sorry about your situation. What is meant to be, will be. How you got pregnant wont matter when you hold a life in your arms. The child is innocent and wont carry the pain you now feel. I have had that terrible sense of anger. It has nothing to do with the pregnancy. I know another child seems like adding fuel to the fire, but a new life brings with it a hope and joy. The sorrow in your life, exists with or without this child.
I don't know what it's like to be in your situation, I have not had the joy of having children. Life has been a bit disappointing because of that. But, I can't judge your feelings. My mom had four children with my alcoholic father. She didn't want the last three, but was so glad she had them. We were her happiness in a rough marriage. Dad quit drinking about the last fifteen years of their marriage. Mom got the upper hand, then.
Their lives were rough, but they loved each other. I know my sisters can't understand that. To love a man you are afraid of.
I wish the best for you with or without this child. Trust that with your head up, life will work out for the best.

You and your child really don't need to be in that situation with your husband. With your history, you may still miscarry, so you really need to take this one day at a time, and get away from that man!! You have to help yourself and your child.

You need a 'magic pill' and a handsaw; Not an herb. Herbs are for responsible and steady use ALONG WITH a good diet and GOOD DECISIONS.
