Most of the early metal bands didn't rely on curse words to attract fans.

Judas Priest
(old) Metallica
Iron Maiden
Now all this modern rap with guitars garbage, their music is so bad, they have to rely on curse words.

The original metal acts (Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, etc.) did not curse (to my knowledge). Why are curse words so offensive anyway? It's really up to you if something offends you or not... But if you're looking for modern acts, try christian metal. Apparently cursing is snubbed by these people as if simple words are the devil. Long ago (but not that long, really), a lot of people believed rock music (before the advent of metal) was satanic. Now there are Christian bands playing metal, the most evil (not really) of all the many sub-genres of rock and roll.

I don't really listen to cussing music, so I know of a few. I only know some hardcore bands, like Norma Jean. There are less heavy bands like He is Legend and Chevelle, which is personally my favorite band of all time.

Dragonforce never curses and may be the best metal band on the planet. If you like ripping guitar solos and singing (not screaming), check 'em out. \m/

3 Doors Down is an amazing rock band (not heavy metal, though). I don't think a metal band would be metal if it didn't swear. lol Out of all of my rock music, 3DD seems to be the only one. You could also try Black Stone Cherry, a new amazing rock band.

theres a handfull of songs by Tool don't cuss.
I like FLAW, Lacuna Coil, Dry Cell(split up), and a little Killswitch Engage (not sure if they cuss)
