I totally depends on what field you are in and where you work. A more important number is "how much do people make 4 years after graduating with an MBA".

Take a look a the link below. It will show you some numbers from top schools

One hopes that the credit crunch will have exposed this MBA scam. It's an overrated 'qualification' that has brought many industries to its knees. When the Japanese did not have any MBAs, their businesses did very well, often overtaking the west. But when they started appointing MBAs with their superficial understanding and bloated egos, they started going down the tube until firms like Toyota realised what was happening and stopped the rot. British industry has not recovered from its MBA encounter and the NHS in particular is reeling from all the stupid initiatives dreamt up by consultancies with the overpaid MBAs. How much to pay? Not more than plumbers who do fix somethings.

A lot less than someone with 5-10 yrs experience. In my experience, hiring people with little or no relevant work background, and an MBA usually get's them the same entry level salary as a person who has their BS/BA.

The MBA tends to pay off when you are going after management positions, or a finance management type position.

Expect to see offers in the low to mid 40's to the low 50's depending on the average cost of living in your state.

That MBA after getting 2 years experience will propell you faster though... so think of this as a long term strategy.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. The answer to your question is dependent on various variables. For example an mba from the top 100 b-schools of the world gets a job in USA, his salary would be 100,000 USD. However same person lands a job in India, his salary would be 40,000 USD.

If you can hint at some specifics, we can give you a better average.
