In WWII, there were numerous battles covering a large portion of the Earth...Europe, Asia, Africa, USA, and little islands strewn about in the Pacific Ocean. In the battle of Iwo Jima, one little island, which lasted 35 days, there were 4,197 killed, 19,189 wounded, 1,401 later died of wounds received, and 494 reported missing. Although, I do not like the fact that we have people getting killed, I see that in the YEARS that we've been in Iraq, the numbers don't come close to what was sacrificed by our military in WWII. We have not seen causualties like that in Iraq or Afganistan. President Bush deserves credit for this, if nothing else, in the war on terrorism...he has taken it to the back yard of the terrorists and kept it out of ours.

You guys are idiots. Bush hasn't done anything impressive with the United States. He's spent billions of dollars on a war that shuldn't have taken place, and we're still stuck in. It doesn't matter if he's provided houses to minorities, because as interest rates rise many of those people with find themselves in shortsales or foreclosures. The borders are out of control, and now we've just, as of today, allowed Mexican truck drivers to enter the united states without question for deliveries. Something that hasn't been allowed in over 25 years. You are really out of your mind. You people need a real reality check. The housing market is the only thing that's been keeping the economy going, and it's on the decline now.....i hear a recession coming. get ready! Think about that, and then look at the 100% + increases in economy that have taken place in country's like China. Not saying i wat to live in China, but let's be realistic please.

I'm a registered Republican and voted for Bush. I think he was a coward too.
He was afraid to stand up to Muslim-ism and declare SOME as extremist and
tell the whole world we were going after cities and infrastructure in any
Muslim country supporting terrorist....that if they themselves allowed such
then every death of every Muslim lost would be on the terrorist head and their
own for helping or harboring them. Then do it.
He has been afraid to admit Shites and Sunnis are the 2 "political" parties. He's been afraid to deal harshly with full city targets or say, well we got
Suddam and can't hit an entire city so let's get out. He's been afraid to hit
the mountains and Muslim Pakistani border area. The media and democrats
are worse, but perhaps not always as idiotic. Gasoline is still over $2 gal and
no hurricane Katrina? Do you know what the higher price of gasoline has done to the economy? Almost as much harm as the democrats!
Did you know that if every Muslim nation in the world were broken by bombing
and infrastructure [without nukes] that they couldn't rebuild themselves without the free world who built them? That can be done one at a time and
oil will flow. It would amaze you how quickly the priorities of the IRANI LEADER and PALESTINIAN LEADERS would change after a week without
water nor shelter in the desert.

WHAT ENEMY?? Bush INVADED Iraq! He did it to avenge his daddy! They were not tied to 9/11, and they had no WMD's. We have a bigger worry with Cuba than we did with Iraq. And now the country is in turmoil, and we upset the balance, thus starting a civil war. We need to get out, but we can't (sound familiar, anyone? Vietnam. . .), and you have the balls to say that he was just in doing what he did?

Bush has the lowest approval rating of ANY sitting president (Clinton during his sex scandal didn't have numbers this low. . .), and that is what matters. The confidence that the majority of the US citizens have in their leader, and their satisfaction in their job is what counts. So if you look at the numbers, he sucks.

The only thing I give him credit for is making our image even worse in the eyes of the rest of the world than it was before he took office. THAT is a major accomplishment. Good job, Bushy!!

And Clinton was "chicken"? Clinton had advisors, much like Bush has, and Clinton LISTENED to his advisors when they told him not to go in. Too bad Bush knew better, huh????

1-the death toll on the war is very low ----american casualties are unknown. if a soldier is injured in iraq, but dies while in transport to a hospital in germany, he/she is not counted as dying in the iraq war. so the actual numbers of the war are unknown.... by design

2-home ownership among minorities has tripled under bush----under bush?...tell me how the outsourcing of jobs, the corporate corruption has increased home ownership?..face it, the 90's boom resulted in home ownership.

3-unemployment is low---and according to bush having three jobs to pay the bills is "very american"

4-taxes are low-----and the debt is massive....the two are directly related

5-shut up about the war-----uh...no. while our troops are dying for that moron, i will not shut up.

6-at least he has done something about the enemy-----yes he has, he's increased their numbers exponentially

clinton was too chicken...there's a third graders assessment

I'm not a big Bush fan but I will give him credit for those things and he was the best choice of the two that were running for president both times.

President Bush has done a pretty good job, no matter what the biased polls say. I get the calls all the time, and the questions are definitely slanted to the left.

While President Bush has done MANY things that have just annoyed me (the present situation with the border guards in prison for doing their job), I have to agree with you.

Personally I am tired of all the anti-Bush "Chicken littles" whining that the sky is falling, when in fact the numbers prove otherwise.

You are absolutely right (excepting the part about the death toll, which is not qualifiable) but I don't see a question.
