Incontinence is perfectly natural for a woman. Here are some fast facts for you:

http://www.urotoday.com/browse_categories/urinary_incontinence/prevalence.html

The United States has the highest rate of female incontinence.

* Half of all women experience incontinence at some point in their lives.
* 1/3 Develop a regular problem.

If it is 1/3 of women, quite a significant number, then why is it considered a problem?!

SOUNDS LIKE IT'S PERFECTLY HEALTHY TO ME.

Just because patriarchal standards of women's deportment insist that we do not smell like urine - so they can objectify us - does not mean that incontinence is a problem. Sounds like it is just as normal as underarm hair, leg hair, facial hair and "obesity". In fact around 1/3 of women are "obese" in the United States and just like obesity adult diapers did not exist when they were painting pictures
of healthy women considered obese by todays standards.

Why do women conform to the patriarchal standard of wearing adult diapers for incontinence?

Good point Megan. There is no "personal pride" in conforming to patriarchal standards. And petrel, how dare you suggest that men suffer equally to women in any way men are rarely incontinent, with the rate for men being the same as when they are 15 as when they are 50, while women suffer greatly from the age of 45. Men hardly suffer until they are 65 and even then TWICE as many women as men are incontinent!

Because, typically, women are the ones who have to do laundry. If a woman loses control of her bladder multiple times a day, that's an entire extra load of laundry for her to do!

By your reasoning, women shouldn't "conform" to using a pad or tampon when they are on their periods. It's normal. It's natural. That doesn't mean that women want to wander around in stained, smelly, sticky clothing all day. Nor does she want to change her pants every little while and have more laundry.

This doesn't make sense.
If something oozes or flows out of me that I don't want on my clothes or furniture, I'll either put it somewhere I'd like it to go if I'm able, or wear or use something to contain it or soak it up. Doesn't seem to be a standard. I'm sorry more women suffer incontinence, but if I was incontinent, I'd wear a diaper simple cause I wouldn't want pee on my clothes or furniture, not some standard. I'm sure the women you speak of also don't want pee all over.

"patriarchal" standards.

Does this mean that men invented diapers? I don't think so.

Does it mean that men do not suffer from incontinence? I don't think so.

Adult diapers (as you call them) can and are used by both genders for comfort and freedom of movement.

Be warned too she might play into your fetish then drop a bombshell .Like having all her friends over to laff at the big baby she found then leave. Hope your question is just a joke and your just waiting to see what kind of answers people leave.

(urine luck. I'll bite. Obvious troll that it is)

To answer your question:

that "Depends". To keep from pissing all over themselves, I guess.

What I wanna know is why they would name a product designed to control "Berserk Bladder Syndrome" - or whatever they call it - "Flomax?"

Love the ad, though, with the old dude pulling a little outhouse behind his car

Anyway, faux Baba, this stuff is getting old. What's with the no whiz control kick you're on now?

Rarely have I found a question and reasoning as stupid as what I have read here.

This answers another question I read yesterday in which the writer wanted to know if there is such a thing as a stupid question.

It's perfeclty normal for babies to wet their diapers and soil themselves, should they not wear diapers? No, because it's a matter of hygiene. Do people need to wear underwear? No, but it's considered to be hygienic.

HTH : )
