Can I stop wearing pads , I'm 13 and my periods usually last 5 days but on the 6th day, it usually gets the spotting stuff, ok well after the spotting i get brown goo and this is normal I asked me mom, but i was wondering if i could stop wearing pads during this goo "phase" because it gets less and less every time i go to the bathroom, its just there when i wipe, and now its like barely see able, should i wear a pad or go "free" or will it like leak or whatever.

Try a pantyliner. They are way thinner and not so bulky. You certainly don't want to go free until you are completely done. You never know when you might have spotting during this phase. Not to mention you might sneeze or cough too hard, then it's everywhere. Trust me.

If you want to mess up your panties with the goo, go ahead without them.

With my periods, I always make sure the blood and "goo" are gone before I stop wearing a pad.

You may want to consider wearing a mini pad which is not as thick and bulky as regular pads. It will help protect your undergarments.

From the perspective of REAL doctors, it's a bad thing to bleed from the crotch once a month. : P It's called detoxification, honey, and it means you have a bad diet, aren't getting enough sleep or fluids, and aren't getting enough exercise or sunlight. I've known people to go without wearing anything for this problem for years... And they're very fertile and have only had 1 or 2 accidents.

switch to a pantyliner that way you don't ruin panties just in case some comes out
