John Lennon was a beautiful soul. I think about him every day and wish he were still with us.
The day he was murdered, a piece of all of us was taken away.

John Lennon is rock in many ways. He, along with Paul McCartney, wrote the very best rock music of the '60s. People are very easily fooled by the Beatles and Lennon's/McCartney's songwriting. Though their very sophistaced ideas come across as simple pop/rock tunes, looking deeper will reveal much, much more. The chord progressions and their relationship to the vocals were always very accelerated. And the way they put the voclas together were second to none. Everyone did, and still do, follow the template laid out by geniuses like John Lennon. Not many artists can even come close to his writing, except maybe Bob Dylan or the Beach Boys' record 'Pet Sounds'. So, yes, John Lennon rocked more than anyone has before, during, or after his time. Well... Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Jerry Lee Lewis may have, but that's up for debate...

John Lennon was the ultimate musician, humanitarian, and all around icon. I grew up with the Beatles and John was ALWAYS my favorite....I loved his intellect as much as his music. I will never forget the day he was killed. My bedroom is completely decorated with his memorabilia, and my PC wallpaper is a picture of him. I don't usually condone idolizing celebrities, but he was different; he wasn't a celebrity, he was a FORCE.

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"....(how cool is that?)

I am too young to know much about John Lennon. I only know my parents like him and his music is fine, but at the same time I think it is way too easy to sing "imagine no possession, I wonder if you can." when you're a millionaire and got everything you could ever want. I wonder if he could...

No.
Rock & Roll died out by 1959.
Only the name lived on.
It did make a comeback almost
20 years later, when Bob Seger
showed up.

John Lennon and the Beatles had
an off key-sound that began to creep into
the music scene when Jay & The
Americans sang, "She Cried." (1961)
And later, the Orlons cut a tune called
"Envy."

I liked John Lennon.
He was an innovator in his own right,
and he had a lot of compassion for
people.

syd did not do this positive he replaced into on acid alot. who cares Freddie Mercury replaced into gay? you could opposite any music and pay interest to demonic messages if you're looking for for for them. and those are his own music options he would not might want to like classic rock. yet when he likes rock in any respect, he desires to renowned that with out the classic rock bands the popular rock does no longer exist. Kurt Cobain wrote the music he did via Beatles. if it wasn't for his or her first 3 information he does no longer were a musician.
