I've been a stay at home mom for 7 years, I have no expreience and few actual skills. I need to get out and get a job (for sanity's sake) and I don't think school is for me. What are my options?

If it's just for 'sanity's sake' try some volunteer work in your area...find something that you enjoy and volunteer...it will also help you deside it's an area that you might want to work in at sometime...for example if you like animals work at an animal shelter....
take it from a stay-at-home mom of 20 years if you can afford to go back to school and have the time DO IT!!!!! even if it's just a couple of on-line classes at first...most cities have libiraies or learning centers that you can go use their computers to do on-line schooling...gets you out and away from the kids for a while and you could be working towards something for your furture....let me tell you the kiddos grow up and you'll wish you had taken advantage of any chance you've missed at going to school...i've loved being home with my kids and wouldn't change it! but now as their leaving home i'm feeling empty nest really bad....

Try Writing
It doesn't have to be a journal. Try writing about some of your experinces as a mom. Every household has its comical situations. If you involve friends in your stories don't forget to get permission if you plan to publish or at least change the names and a few minor details if not. You never know you might end up with a best seller. Hey at least it will give you a little means of escape and entertainment.

Start your own buisness. check things out on the internet see what is out there .. believe me i know what you are talking about and now i am starting my own business. it great extra money and i have fun doing it. Good luck
