Congrats on your baby!

I have the same problem right now. Mine might be a little worse because i actually have a broken tailbone. *OUCH*

As you know.. unlike a pp, taking hot baths can harm your baby! Soaking in a mild warm bath with some epson salt can help. But what i have found that saves my butt over the years (litterally) is to sit on a pillow. Lets on on the pressure and gives me some cushion.

In a crunch, the hemeroid blow up pillows you can get from the drug store work too. Hope your bottom feels better soon and sending you sticky vibes during the rest of your pregnancy!

(also, try to prevent constipation as much as possible, that will help some of the pressure on your tailbone)

I had both tailbone and lower back pain with both of my pregnancies. I was in so much pain that I saw a physical therpist. She would massage it. That helped alot. See if your insurance would cover it. You might need your obgyn's refferal first. She mentioned for me to try a few things while I was at work. I put a pad on my chair. Also, take frequent walks (try not to sit for long periods of time). Try raising your feet too. When you get home lay down with your feet up. Hope these things help. I feel your pain!

I am having the same problem. I have a hot tub and that doesnt help cause I am not allowed to have it above 98 degrees. I try to stretch by getting on my hands and knees lowering my pelvic bone and then raising it. It hurts but then I lay on my side with a heating pad. My dr. said that a heating pad is ok since it is only on one part of the body not completely covering the body like a hot bath. If that doesnt help another thing to do is lay on a pillow with your bottom on it so it is elevated. That may help the baby move a bit and help you stretch so that the baby isnt putting too much pressure on the one spot. GL

Unfortunately it is probably just the way you are carrying your baby, but I'm sure sitting at work all day is not the best thing for your pain. As much as it hurts you should get up every 30 minutes even if it is just to stand and change positions for 5 minutes.

Ask your doctor. My sister-in-law sat on a doughnut shaped pillow when she broke her tailbone. When I was pregnant my low back and tailbone hurt for a couple weeks until my muscles stretched out.

Try soaking in some Epsom salt. I do. I'm almost 9 months pregnant.

I would try a chiropractor. They can do wonders for pregnancy pains. Some even have massage therapists available.... I was so scared to go to one, but it is not bad at all if you find a good one. Try to go to one that has experience with Pregnancy..... Good Luck!
